Our Leadership

Ed McLean

Chairman

Ed McLean was first Chairman in 2016. He has had the privilege to represent and advocate for the conservative values of the Republican Party. His primary focus is making Monroe County Greater and Stronger as a community. Monroe is in a sound financial position and are blessed with great schools, low poverty, low unemployment, faithful church goers, and most importantly, a safe place to live and raise our families. This didn’t happen by accident. Chairman McLean saw a need to recruit replacements for numerous retiring office holders. He wanted to maintain the successes the county had achieved.  His mission for the past 10 years; finding young, qualified and responsible office holders who are focused on defending conservative values, maintaining life qualities and building a stronger county.

McLean is a retired engineer and business leader. Married for 45 years, McLean and his wife reside on a small horse farm in rural Monroe County. He is active in civic and fraternal organizations as he is a 44 year member of the Mason Shriner Organization and has been active with the Rotary Club since 1987.
